I've just come back from Hong Kong and the same district your hotel is in... Wonderful place! Do yourself a favour if you can and head over to the W Hotel for dinner one night or even to their massage place (Bliss Spa) devine! We didnt' stay at the W Hotel, we stayed at Langham Place... but still an awesome area.. if you need any tips just ask.. Enjoy! Title: Re: My turn! My turn! Think I'll be into the champagne tonight. Woo-hoo! Go girl!I imagine the same in 2007 after 20+ years away, but I think you'll still recognise quite a lot, although the airport has changed! It's now on Lantau island and you might catch sight of the Big Buddha on the way in during day time. (Worth a day trip and continue on on the bus to Tai O stilted fishing village... about as unlike Kowloon as you can get!.. if you want to explore out of town.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tai_O Also worth doing is the ride on the harbour in an authentic Chinese junk, the Duk Ling. Only on Thursdays and Saturdays and you have to book as soon as you get in to town to be certain of a ride. The office is on the HK Island side of the Star Ferry terminal. I didn't keep a copy of my entry but I remember that I called Hong Kong "Honkers Konkers" - and the girl who rang me said the entry stood out and had the whole office laughing!
