I just had a phonecall from the lady at channel 7 who "lied" to me yesterday!! We had a good laugh about it. She said she so wanted to tell me Id won...but wasnt allowed because they wanted the camera crew arrival to be a total surprise!! I said I forgive her!! :lol: She was so lovely, really happy for me...and the other 114 winners that will be receiving $10000. Her advice...."Tell all your friends to enter!" Im glad I wont get my big cheque for about 6 weeks, so then I can just enjoy the feeling for a while of having $10 000 coming my way. :D For those that dont know so much about me, Im on my own, having raised my 3 great kids for 8 years by myself. Holding the house together on a tight budget means there are so many practical things Ive always wanted to do but just never could. So most of this prize money will be doing things like buliding a carport, putting concrete in for a second bit of driveway (making it double width so one of my sons can park there under my "new carport" ). I also have a huge tree only metres from my front door that needs to come down. Every winter I worry in case a branch falls onto my house. Thank God...all has been ok, but now I am able to get something done about it. My two young men both have issues with car repairs/ financial things that Im overjoyed to be able to contribute to now...and of course they are happy too....takes some stress off them. My teenage daughter would just love to go to Sydney for a holiday....so Im going to try to fit that on the wishlist somewhere! I also, for my own peace of mind, would just like to leave a few thousand dollars in the bank...cos we all know what it feels like to be broke, and it would be great to have a safety net should I ever need it. Although Ive entered maybe 4 nights previously for this comp at about 4 times each night....this particular night I entered 8 times....I just had this odd feeling to be persistent :shock:
Either way...just letting you all know...I didnt need to enter a ridiculous amount of times to win. So neither do you. You sound like my mum, dad left her to look after us 5 kids all on her own and shes still looking after us on her own.
