Win a new bike VU is looking to establish a Bicycle User Group to be run by students for the benefit of both students and staff that cycle to all campuses. This group will be supported by both the Facilities and the Student Life departments. To create a sense of identity, a logo competition is being held during second semester for the design of a logo for the BUG. The winning design will receive a new bike to the value of $450. To enter, download the competition entry form (PDF, 222 KB) and send in your logo design by September 17. VUBUG LOGO To create a sense of identity, a logo competition is being held during second semester for the design of a logo for the BUG. Staff and students are eligible to submit their designs for a logo. The top part of this form has the space available to draw the design however other forms will be accepted. Return all forms to the Student Service Centre at any campus by Friday 17 September 2010. The designs will be considered at the second meeting of the BUG on Wednesday 27 September with the winner being chosen from the designs submitted. The logo will be unveiled at the National Ride to Work Day breakfast on Wednesday 13 October 2010 at Footscray Park Campus. Please note that the designs will be subject to approval of the Marketing Department. This group will be supported by both the Facilities and the Student Life departments. The role of the BUG will be to organise monthly rides, National Ride to Work Day and the VU team for the Around the Bay in a Day event. The BUG can also organise other events that will encourage both staff and students to join the BUG. The benefits of involvement with the BUG is the opportunity to meet other students and staff that cycle, advocating for better cycling facilities at campuses and receiving discounts from local bicycle shops as a member of the BUG.
