Due to overwhelming demand, The Oprah Winfrey Show will be taping two shows on December 14 at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. The reservation window for the release of tickets to these tapings will be open in the United States from November 4th at 6 p.m. CT until November 6th at 11 p.m. CT; in Sydney, Australia from November 5th at 10 a.m. until November 7th at 3 p.m. Before you apply for reservations, here's what you need to know about attending this taping in Sydney:

•Very important! This is a ticketed event. If your ticket request is randomly selected, you or your guest as listed in your request must be available to pick up your tickets and wristbands at a designated location in Sydney one to two days before the taping.

•You must be an Oprah.com member in order to submit your ticket request. Go to https://myown.oprah.com/register.html to sign up.

•You may submit one request for yourself and one guest for both tapings. You can only be chosen for one taping. All ticket request submissions have an equal opportunity for selection within the ticket lottery system.

•You can submit your ticket request anytime within the ticket window. All requests have the same chance of being selected, regardless of when submitted within the ticket window period.

•Within 24 hours after the window has closed, you will receive an email notification informing you of your request status, whether you have been selected or not.

•If your request has been selected, you will need to confirm your ticket request within 48 hours. Instructions on how to confirm your tickets are provided in the notification email.

•If your request has not been selected, we will email you if more tickets become available.

•This taping will take place on Tuesday, December 14, at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia.

•The arrival time for the "morning" taping is 8 a.m. Expect to be with us until 12 p.m. The arrival time for the "evening" taping is 3 p.m. Expect to be with us until 7 p.m.

•Everyone in your party must be at least 18 years of age to attend and may be required to present a valid photo I.D. in order to attend.

•The show will tape in the Sydney Opera House Forecourt (outside). Come prepared for the day's weather. We will tape the show rain or shine. (Please note: December is a summer month in Sydney. It will be hot!)

•These tickets are simply your admission to the taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. You are responsible for your own travel to Sydney, Australia, and accommodations while there.

The reservation window for tickets to the tapings in Australia is now closed.


Some friends tried for tickets at 2.30 and it had closed early.

I've heard of people that have already got acceptance emails!   Sadly i wasn't one.

Me too!  Hubby and I have applied and if we get accepted will stay at my brother's in Sydney.  She has been known to give everyone in the audience a new car, but quite honestly I'd be so excited I'd be happy with a balloon!  So fingers crossed.  :)
