National Family Reading Month Competition Terms and Conditions of Entry Entry into the Scholastic National Family Reading Month Competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions as set out below. 1. Promoter’s name and address The Promoter is Scholastic Australia P/L, 76–80 Railway Crescent, Lisarow, NSW 2250 ABN 11 000 614 577 Authorised under NSW Permit number LTPS/10/10661, ACT Permit number TP 10/04787, SA Permit number T10/2622, VIC Permit number 10/3917. 2. Eligibility Entrants must be 4 years or older and be a student attending an Australian primary school who has booked a Fair with Scholastic for May 2011. One entry per student. Should a school cancel their May 2011 Book Fair all entries from that school would be made ineligible. 3. Method of entry To enter, a primary school must book a Scholastic Book Fair in May 2011 and invite students to enter online. Students must go online at www.scholastic.com.au/bookfairs/enter and submit an entry form during April or May 2011. By selecting their school, pledging to ‘read more in May’ and providing their name, surname, year and class and submitting the form they will automatically enter into the draw. Employees of Scholastic Australia and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. One entry per student. 4. Duration of promotion The promotion commences on 1 April 2011 and closes 31 May 2011 at 4:30pm EST. Advertising of the promotion commences 1 November 2010. 5. Details of prizes and prize values Twenty-five (25) entries will be drawn in total for the grand prizes — each student can choose books from Scholastic Book Fairs to the value of $250. In addition every winning student’s school receives books to the value of $1000. The winning student and school will be given access to a list of books to choose from. Prizes must be redeemed by 30 September 2011. The greater the number of students who enter the competition, the greater the chance each school has of winning the grand prize. The computer-generated system will choose 25 winners from 25 different schools therefore a school, or a child cannot win more than once. The total prize pool value is $31,250.00. Prizes will be awarded to the winning student and the principal at each school. The relevant Book Fair Organisers and principals will be notified in writing and by phone, and will be advised of the name of the winning student. Entry To enter, a school must book a Book Fair in May 2011 and invite students to enter online. Date of Draw 3pm on 13 June, 2011 GRAND PRIZE Twenty-five (25) students will win books to the value of $250 and each of their schools will be awarded books to the value of $1000 (valued at an average RRP of $12.99 each). TOTAL $ $31,250.00 (25 x $1000 school prizes and 25x $250 student prizes). 6. Place of draw Draw will be conducted at Scholastic Australia, Head Office, 76–80 Railway Crescent, Lisarow, NSW 2250, according to the schedule of draws. 7. Schedule of draw Entries close 4:30pm on Draw 3pm on Winners published 31 May, 2011 13 June, 2011 22 June, 2011 8. Unclaimed prizes If any prize remains unclaimed, a re-draw will take place as scheduled below at Scholastic Australia, Head Office, 76–80 Railway Crescent, Lisarow, NSW 2250. 9. Schedule of re-draw Draw 3pm on Winners published 3 October 2011 12 October 2011 10. Publication of results The winners will be notified by telephone and mail. The student name and school of each winner will be published in The Australian and online at www.scholastic.com.au according to the schedule of draws. 11. Postage The Promoter will be responsible for delivery of prizes to winners. Delivery of prizes may take up to 28 days. 12. Other Prizes are non-transferable for cash and must be taken as offered. 13.
