How to Play

The aim of the game is to reach the end of the board with your home fully renovated. You make your way to the top of the board by moving along each level while making additions to your home. Answer the questions to move forward and learn some handy renovation tips and more about the new Ford Territory along the way, but make sure you don't come across any cords as you will move backwards on the board. When aspects of your renovation go well and get completed before their deadline jump ahead to get to the finish line faster.

There will be one major winner, six weekly winners and five hundred instant winners throughout the promotion. The prizes are outlined below:

One major winner will receive $10,000 cash. The prize will be awarded in the form of a cheque made out to the winner or by EFT into the winner’s nominated bank account.

Six weekly winners will each receive an Ultimate Tool Package valued at $2,000 each.

200 x instant winners will each receive a $100 Bunnings Gift Card. The Gift cards are subject to their own terms and conditions which are available at http://www.bunnings.com.au/

300 x instant winners will each receive a $100 petrol card. Petrol cards are subject to their own terms and conditions.

ROAD TO RENOVATION
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the
competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. However,
employees and their immediate families of  Network TEN, and their associated
agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
3. The competition commences on Monday, 29 August 2011 at  00:01 (AEST) and
concludes on  Monday, 10 October 2011 at  23:59 (AEDT).  There will  be 6 entry
periods during the promotion which are outlined in CHART A.

5. The competition will be advertised on  Network TEN and online at
www.therenovatorstv.com.au.
6. To enter participants must log onto www.therenovatorstv.com.au and follow the links
through  to Road to Renovation game where they must successfully complete the
interactive  game to qualify an entry into the weekly draw and the major draw.
Entrants are required to be a TEN member to enter online. Entrants may register to
become a member via the website. It is free to become a member. These Terms and
Conditions apply in conjunction with the website Membership rules. During play of the
game, entrants will also have the chance to win instant prizes if they answer the
questions correctly.
7. 500 x Instant winner prizes will be available to random valid entrants. Participants will
be notified during their  game play if they are an instant winner and what prize they
have won. Instant winners will be issued a 6 digit unique Prize Claim Number as
determined by the  Salmat IDR Pty Limited Instant Win system. The unique  6 digit
Prize Claim Number will need to be recorded by the participant for prize verification
purposes. In the event of any dispute with the Promoter, or at the Prompter’s request,
Instant Winners will be required to correctly quote their unique Prize Claim Number to
be awarded their prize. The Promoter reserves the right to  withhold the awarding of
an instant prize to a participant who cannot provide a valid, unique Prize Claim
Number. Any unclaimed or un-verified prizes will be awarded during the second
chance draw. Entrants who are not instant winners will be notified that  they have
been automatically entered into the weekly and major draw along with the unclaimed
prize draw

It took me ages to get to the end of this - then it asked me 2 more questions re the Ford Territory - told me that I moved my position manually (I didn't) and that I had to start again.  :(

I actually got through pretty quickly...  I probably learnt more about home reno than anything else...  Maybe I should enter one of those reality building shows!  If I enter this comp a few more times, I seriously might be able to!!! :lol:

Hi, yes I had different questions to answer as well including:

Which model has a diesel engine- both,
What the towing capacity of the vehicle is- 2700kg
How many internal compartments there are - 30
and if you can add wall paper to a toilet - no!  :D

This comp has 500 instant wins.  It takes time and effort to play, higher chance of a win.

More info from the T&C:  Entrants may play the game as many times as they like however, only one instant win prize per person is permitted (SA residents are entitled to win more than one prize). In the event that an entrant wins more than one instant prize, the first instant prize won will be awarded and the remaining prizes will be drawn. Entrants will only be entered into the weekly and major prize draw once per day.


About winning an instant prize, I was thinking that perhaps it happened at the end of the game but it didn't - for me it happened halfway through when my car went up a ladder and then I had the instant win screen of a $100 fuel card.

My winning email then says that I'm the winner of a card and gives the claim number but the image under that is not showing up on the email ....I've used Hotmail and Chrome and the image still isn't showing so will have to contact Channel Ten.

Channel Ten have rung me back and said that for anyone getting an instant win (a confirming email with an image that doesn't appear), the image is just to make the email look nice - all they require is your claim number when they ring in a month's time to check on your claim!

I've had exactly the same problem today. I've completed the game on three different occasions in the last three hours and keep getting the 'position moved manually. Start the game again' message!!

I have completed the game every day without any problems  :D

Am playing game daily with no problems, no wins either.

To stop going down the ladder (electrical cord) just get the answer wrong and it will let you roll the dice again.  Saves a lot of hair pulling!

Has anyone been able to roll a 6?

to those that have won? was it after playing several times in the one day? or can you only win from the daily entry? and after that its a waste of time?

Same problem for me today for the first time. It has frozen previously, or you sit on END thinking you've finished but it asks another question.  So I clicked on 'report a bug' down the bottom of the screen and reported the glitch. Now I'm wondering if when it froze I missed out on an instant win.  Didn't even realise there were instant prizes. Duh.

It says you can play as many times as you want but only 1 entry for the $10,000 per day

Is anyone else having trouble with this game? I am definitely entering correct answers and it tells me my responses are wrong. For example, I select an answer B which is correct and then it says my answer is incorrect and the answer is TRUE (when there wasn't even a True/False option!). I had the same issues yesterday.

Still having problems with this game!  :(

Tonight I reached the finish of the game but still got the graphic that asked me to roll the dice again. I waited five minutes hoping it would correct itself but nothing else happened. In desperation I rolled the dice again and then received the message that I had moved "manually" and that I would have to start the game again! I completed the game THREE times but kept getting the same problem. Very frustrating!

I have sent an email to Channel 10 telling them of the problems I've encountered.

I've only had the manual problem once but the way my computer has a near on melt down every time I try to play I'm lucky if I enter it only once a day, usually if it freezes things for more than 10 minutes I give up  :?

..so glad when this comp is over..everytime I try to play it now it crashes Firefox...Grrrr...maybe it has an inkling that i hate the damn game :-\  lol..

I didn't know there were instant wins or that you could play more than once.  What are the instant win prizes I wonder?

There are 500 instant win prizes given out randomly and I THINK they are fuel gift cards but Im not entirely sure. I've never won instantly on this and only play once a day max. But thankfully Ive never experienced the technical problems members are saying about. That would be annoying!

they are fuel cards and bunnings vouchers.. i've been having issues lately with my computer freezing when i try to load the page

ive played a thousand games with no problems and no prizes giving up!! lol

my hubby won, what i did was have it open in another window and i  took like 30 mins to play it

Fuel cards for BP, if anyone was wondering.

I had an instant win fuel card on my second play of the day a few days ago. I usually only play once, but if I have time I'll have a few goes. Never had any issues with freezing, I play on Firefox. I usually answer a question wrong on purpose to avoid going down a "snake" to finish the game a bit quicker. Instant win was about the second line from the top, so it isn't just ladders that it can happen on, it's anywhere.
