I'm just curious to know if any of you have seen that you are a winner (on a winners list) but have never received the prize?

I'm currently chasing up 3 prizes where I've seen I'm on the winner list, but no prize has been received. I've waited 6 weeks (as most comps suggest) before contacting the promoter, but I'm still not getting any response.

Anyone else had this happen?

not me, no, but I have heard about it, including INTHEMIX for example

My sister in law saw her name (an uncommon name) on the 'Australian Family' website Summer Promo winners list and after ten months of emails & calls no one has gotten back to her.

I won a prize with 'Smiggle' last year, never got it or any response from them.  Name was on winners list & they emailed me!

I'm still waiting for 2 for Priceline from the 9th and 19th September....anyone else

I'm waiting on one from the 18 th, but have received several from after this date, I think they seem to be coming from the companys, not Priceline, so I'm waiting patiently as the comps only just finished.

Yes...this seems to happen sometimes...just chased up a prize that never turned up...promoters we're very good and are resending it...:)

I've had this happen 3 times, 2 websites and one magazine, never received the prizes or any replies to my emails and letters.

I had lots of trouble with one kids magazine ...twice, several years apart. Sent off numerous emails with no response, eventually I was contacted and told that the emails were getting dumped because I was emailing from a hotmail account which they had diverted straight to junkmail and never even opened. So prehaps make sure your not emailing from a free email address.

Waiting on some movie tickets (from 2010), and a Shapeshifter CD from inthemix, which I was advised has already been sent to my PO Box.

yeah only happened twice once from channel v and once from a parenting magazine... both claimed that the prize was sent out but i never received them

Yes not too long ago saw my name for movie tickets from Vogue website never got them, had to chase down a couple Channel V in particular.

I received a call from a radio station to say I'd won a cheese platter and wine, worth over $100, but it didn't arrive. E-mailed the station, and they got some of my details, chased it up and sent me $150, which was better for me than lots of cheese!

I also had one from a parenting magazine that never arrived - it was a whole pile of safety products for the car and home and another prize (a table-top BBQ that I was VERY excited about) from one very reputable magazine...many emails and phone-calls but it never arrived...and my surname is VERY VERY unusual so it was definitely me!  It's disappointing but I guess we take all the good with a little bad!

Yep, same has happened here! Very annoying :(
I won a DVD prize pack at the start of the year that I never got,
plus did a review to get some free stuff and never saw that either!
But they were more than happy to post my review  :angry4:

Yes that happens sooo many times to me! And I think it's because theres a house a few blocks from my house that almost has the same address as my address, we have the same number and street just one word different and we sometimes get their mail so we knocked on their door and told them the postman got it wrong and keeps sending us their letters and they said if they get our letters again they will drop them off and they used to but they have stopped bringing them but I think they have moved now and someone else lives there now because there has just been way too many things gone missing so it's like they are keeping our mail because everytime I write an email to whatever I won they say they sent it to my address.
