Also a reminder for those wishing to sell any unwanted prizes, to please use the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections for this purpose.  Please do not list your intent to sell in this thread, as this would show Trainees what is available and would invite them to pm a seller directly.  Trainees do not have access to the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections, and have to attain the status of Junior Member before they are allowed to trade.  This rule is to protect our trading community from members who have no established posting history in ACC.

I got myself a new camera for my 40th in July and had started entering comps requiring photos since then (as opposed to 'proper' photographic competitions).  I am very happy with the results so far!!

I received an email from my daughter's dance teacher... they must have dance shoes for their performance at the end of the year and she grew out of hers a year ago.  Next day I received two tickets for footloose (which I'd entered for a friend) and they came with a Bloch dance shop voucher for $50 - around the cost of the new shoes - happy mum!

hey all, check out this link of Isabella winning $1 million.  For those of you that don't know the T&C's, you had to sumbit a 25 wol answer with a certain time slot advertised on air radio.  The judges then selected the best 15 ( i think) entries, then chose a winner from that to dig up as many bags on bondi beach within a 30 second to 1 minute time frame. There were 250 bags buried, only 1 of which contained $1 million.   Once you had dug up your bags, you had to only choose 2 to open, and what was inside would be yours.  What are the chances, check it out for yourselves... i see it as inspiration to continue on in the exciting world of COMPING.  Good luck to you all :) :)

Oh dear, I'm seeing it Sunday, is it REALLY that bad???!!!  My friend has warned me that it is ultra-violent - surely gorgeous Ryan Gosling and lovely Carey Mulligan wouldn't be in a movie THAT NASTY?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I really want to see it, it's had excellent reviews but I'm starting to feel a little worried ...  :shock:

Apart from finding out that the jewellery prize earlier this week did not contain actual gold in the rings (the metal was brass), I exchanged this for a cacoon necklace for my wedding anniversary present to my husband next month.
