Also a reminder for those wishing to sell any unwanted prizes, to please use the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections for this purpose.  Please do not list your intent to sell in this thread, as this would show Trainees what is available and would invite them to pm a seller directly.  Trainees do not have access to the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections, and have to attain the status of Junior Member before they are allowed to trade.  This rule is to protect our trading community from members who have no established posting history in ACC.

A little bit of a story here, thought i could tell you as my non comping friends didnt seem that interested -
On saturday i went to my local Centro shopping center to have a massage. At the moment they have a promo on where you spend money in a store take your reciept to the customer service counter and get a code. You then have to enter the code on their "freebies" machine. There is one prize a day for the '12 days of christmas'. Using my massage reciept i collected my code, lined up at the machine (that had a long line there the whole time i was at the shops) .... And yep! I won! A Lavazza A Modo Mio Premium Coffee Machine. About $420 worth.
As you can imagine i was shocked, after being so lucky and winning so many cool things in past few years, when wins like this happen i can hardly believe it. I think its when you least expect it - good wins happen!
Funny thing was i was looking at a coffee machine the day before as an idea for a christmas pres for my husb!

Yay... and i just checked my email and also won a VIP double pass to the 2011/2012 season Moonlight cinema. From Moccona face book!!!

I won a zumba bag from Readers Digest. The really interesting thing is that it was originally drawn in August and they explained in their email that the first winner had not gotten back to them with their address. So there was a re-draw and I won!
I'm sure that, like me, most of you have an alternative email account for the dozens of newsletters we all find ourselves subscribing to!!
This shows the importance of really checking emails very carefully for the ones that have the magic word 'congratulations' in them!

This morning, I received a wem advising that I had won a $50 gift card of my choice (from a selection) from Giftcards.com. After sending my details, and an explanation of how it will be used, I received a response advising that, due to how it will be used, they are doubling it!

So, $100 extra in the kitty to spend at Woolworths for care package items for some deployed ADF personnel.

It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Like a few others I've been away a bit from comping & this week tried to get back into it - a bit overwhelmed as theres so many fab competitions out there but I guess you just have to start going through them - which would be so difficult without ACC.


Anyway I had a couple of WEMs this afternoon - one from Sanity re Mr Popper's Penguins DVD and from Hoyts for a Mission Impossible puzzle.  Thanks to Culturebird for both posts - what a star you are.

Went away for a couple of days, went to the club for tea and it happened to be the Christmas Raffle. Lucky enough to walk away with a ham even if I had to drag it home 300km  :shock:

Arrived home to a $50 Westfield voucher from a Vodaphone promotion  :D but couldn't find it on here.

I received my, Tori Amos CD, SABCO broom, Henson's cacoon necklace, and Futurama DVD.

That stated, I am still attempting to resolve the issue surrounding my win of Pam Ayres tickets for her recent Adelaide show from Switched ON (ABC). I gave plenty of notice, however, I was never advised how to collect the tickets, nor did I, as at writing this, receive them. After numerous e-mails between the person who advised me of my win and myself, I have now referred this matter to Office of Fair Trading, NSW.

My good news is that I have now managed to resolve the issue regarding compensation for Barilla cancelling a cooking class in Adelaide. I will be receiving six boxes of goodies to send to some deployed ADF personnel. :)

Slow week until today when I received a WEM - I've won a 5 hour spring clean of my house, some Surf products and flowers! So excited. I have never ever had a cleaner before...now do I clean the house first??? Oh, and a cute little handcream pack gorgeously wrapped from Terry White chemist.
