It could be E because all the others are sons or daughters of Zeus according to my dictionary.

According to my knowledge Greek mythology, Persephone married Eros (Cupid). As such, she was not born a God/Goddess.

I would say it is:

C. Braille

It's the only word which has nothing to do with 'cover something'.

I also think it's C Braille but because all the others are named after places while Braille is named after a person

Title: Re: Quizmas - different prize to be won each day! (Answer Q)

204

You can get the answer by turning the square so the 1 points upwards then add the number to the left and the number to the right together and work your way across the puzzle. Sorry not too an articulate way of explaining it, but  e.g. 1 + 5 + 2 =8   then 2 + 8 + 3 = 13  3+ 4 + 13 = 20 etc etc.

I put it through a simple Excel spreadsheet and found the same answer as crazysinger, it's 73. That's the only wholly divisible value between 50 and 100 of 2847.

I've attached the spreadsheet for you to have a double check.

I also think it's C but with a different reasoning. Watch the opposite colours e.g.
A - black - purple; orange - pink; yellow - blue; red - green

It's the same with B + D; but it's different with C

I'd say that the answer is 20 , if you add up the numbers diagonally - 2, 4, 6, 8,

10, 12, 14, 16, 18   and the answer is 20.

Anyone else agree?

Sally, Linda and Eric have $28 between them. Sally has twice as much as Eric, who has twice as much as Linda. How much as Eric?

Ans:  Linda has $4, Eric has $8 and Sally has $16

Prize today is $100 Event Cinema Vouchers which are only useful in certain states.

Good luck.

But Eric has twice as much as Linda so we have:

Linda + 2*Linda {Eric} + 2*(2*Linda){Sally}  Your calculation's correct, just that you've got Eric in Linda's place.

$4      +   (2*$4=)  8   + (2*8)=  16   = $28

On my post above a smiley is shown in my calculations but I never typed that and when I just went in to modify something else the smiley doesn't appear.

It should show as: instead of (2*8) it should show 2 multiplied by 8 in brackets

Is it December Fool's Day, is there a gremlin coming down the chimney or is there a function key that changes a simple multiplication into a smiley?

Thanks

C

"8" + ")" gives you always 8)

You may have noticed a 8) does always appear in T&Cs when the numbers have brackets following.
