Also a reminder for those wishing to sell any unwanted prizes, to please use the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections for this purpose.  Please do not list your intent to sell in this thread, as this would show Trainees what is available and would invite them to pm a seller directly.  Trainees do not have access to the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections, and have to attain the status of Junior Member before they are allowed to trade.  This rule is to protect our trading community from members who have no established posting history in ACC.

I had a WPC from Teleloans. I won their Christmas Hamper by guessing its value on FB. I was 50cents out! I guessed $298 and it was $297.50. You had to say who referred you, so my friend won $200 cash!

It looks like 2012 will be a new year, and a new body shape for me because I receive a wem advising that I was one of the winners of 12 months of Platinum Membership to Fitness First, plus some extras to help me on my way.

Unfortunately, the prize will not be sent out until January, 2012. However, I am looking forward to this prize - valued at over $1500.

I was thinking the same jules11 - from memory, I entered a few times but no joy at this end. I just don't seem to have luck with these type of comps when there are loads of winners.

Finally, a positive outcome regarding my complaint over not receiving the Pam Ayres tickets...

All that it took was: almost three weeks of intermittent dealing with this issue, numerous emails, a comment on Facebook, contacting the Office of Fair Trading, NSW, Office of Liquor and Gaming, NSW, a complaint to ABC's Legal Department, and contacting someone higher than the original person with whom I was communicating with at ABC where I made an offer of contacting the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

I will be receiving a formal apology, almost $250 worth of DVD's - what was offered in lieu of the prize, and the dollar value of the original prize. Personally, I would have had a great time seeing Pam Ayres, and would have preferred this over what I went through to have this issue resolved.

***Update: As at writing this, a few minutes' ago, I received an e-mail apologising for the inconvenience - and amending the date for when I will receive the remainder of the compensation to, "...It is anticipated this will be sent to you in the New Year." - so much for the guarantee of everything being sent out to me today.

On a brighter note: I received a double pass to The Adventures of Tintin from Best Western.

My husband received his Warner DVD.

...and I received a wem advising that I am a winner of a Gloria Jean's coffee gift pack.

I have wasted hours today attempting to get a successful resolution regarding the ABC Pam Ayres ticket matter resolved.

I have been accused of (in part), "...that you do not wish to receive the cheque or DVDs and that you are pursuing this legally."

Despite having already agreed to the terms that were provided to me today.

Someone finally got back to me this afternoon regarding the Christmas hamper that I won over a fortnight ago and that was already on its way - I am likely to receive it between Christmas and the New Year - and it will have a Christmas theme to it!

Brilliant as this was supposed to be part of a care package to a deployed ADF personnel and the cut off date for sending care packages for Christmas, 2011 was 9th December, 2011.

By change, I noticed my name on the Herald Sun website as the winner of a Packed to the Rafters DVD box set. This was over a month ago, but haven't received anything in the mail.

I have since tried contacting the Herald Sun three times and never heard back...any tips from experienced Compers on what I should do?
