Also a reminder for those wishing to sell any unwanted prizes, to please use the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections for this purpose.  Please do not list your intent to sell in this thread, as this would show Trainees what is available and would invite them to pm a seller directly.  Trainees do not have access to the Unwanted Prizes or Auction sections, and have to attain the status of Junior Member before they are allowed to trade.  This rule is to protect our trading community from members who have no established posting history in ACC.

I am having one of those days today and I went to write on fb "dear comping gods.." but I wrote along the lines of "I love when I am having a bad day and win something to pick me up. Hopefully today is one of those days" I check my email and then come on ACC and in the scoller is a winners list on top and I clicked it and I see I won some movie tix!

I got home to two packages today and I said to my husband "oh great that diary has come I won a while back, what is the other one I wonder?"-turns out that it was not the diary at all but two DVDs from two separate competitions I had won in January and did not even know-fantastic!

JBMarigold, I had a similar win from another company - I had to spend $1000 to claim my $500 discount, which in our case meant hubby also had to book/spend $1000 - so basically we didn't win $500, we had to spend $2000 and we got a $500 discount. Not a win in my terms, I binned it!

Great prize. I won one of the dogs a couple of years ago (and ended up selling it much to my daughter's dismay) and it was barking as the package guy dropped it off in the box and every time I made a slight noise in my walk-in robe where I secretly stored it for a couple of months, it would bark.

Woolworths has the 200g blocks for $3 each. The flavour I wanted didn't have the promotion on them. If anyone finds anything cheaper like 2 for $5. Great comp to prepare for Easter :)

Best news of all today - my daughter was diagnosed with cervical cancer a few weeks ago and has been undergoing all sorts of tests and biopsies. Today we found out its in stage 1 so only a hysterectomy is needed. Although a hysterectomy is not nice - I'm jumping for joy. The black cloud has been lifted, last few weeks have been pretty scary.

That is the best news of all JoJo and worth more than anything else in the world.

My week has finished on a good note with another Movie Pass from Red Hot Pie and one from NW Weekly.  Thanks to the posters.

I've won something every day of the week so far.

I won a 100$ lingerie voucher from stylehunter and a double pass to safe house...good start to the comping year.

So glad to hear that things are not as bad as they could have been.  I too was diagnosed with cancer when i was 25 yrs old and my first child was just under 2.  Thank fully the doctors misdiagnosed, but for 5 days i lived with the verdict that cancer was my reality.  My heart always goes out to anyone who is facing this challenge. 

Sort of a WEM saying I've been short listed to win 4 tickets to the 'How to train your dragon area spectacular' and a book pack, had to verify all of my details in order to proceed....fingers crossed :)

Received  book Horses Never Lie about Love from Reader's Digest. Also this morning received a parcel which had been wrapped in plastic by Aus Post.  When I opened the plastic it was clear why - the aroma of shampoo was overwhelming.  It was a Pantene set from Beauty & Lace and the shampoo bottle was completely empty! The bottle wasnt broken so I guess the lid came loose somehow.   I emailed B & L to let them know, they responded very quickly and have said they will send another set which is nice.

Is that from Hachette? My sister won a huge book pack around Christmas from them but first  they emailed to 'confirm' her details and sure enough a few weeks later the books arrived so I reckon you've won if that's the comp! Good luck!

My daughter, Maddison(Maddy) was a winner in the Big W/Crayola Baby Art comp for under 12's.  She's won a crayola gift pack and is rapt!  She won with her picture of Black Saturday(we went through the fires at Drouin West), a pic she painted aged 8yrs.  My budding artist!
