This acclaimed a cappella sextet from New York has extensive performance and recording credits, including a Grammy nomination and the Philip Glass soundtrack to the art film Koyaanisqatsi. This concert will be their Australian debut performance – six amazing voices, great repertoire, the beautiful space of the Verbrugghen Hall at the Conservatorium. Don’t miss it! The festival itself, during the week of March 17-25, is a learning experience for singers and a celebration of fine Jewish choral music down the ages, with a performance by the AJCF Choir at the Shir Madness Festival on March 25. The Australian Jewish News has four double passes to give away to the Western Wind performance on March 17. In three draws over the next several, one double pass will be given away on Thursday, February 16; one double pass will be given away on Thursday, February 23; and two double passes will be given away on Thursday, March 1. Competition entries for the respective draws close at noon on Thursday, February 16; Thursday, February 23; and Thursday, March 1. Final competition entries close on Thursday, March 1 at noon.
