Terms & Conditions

The Competition

The competition is called Home Makeover. The promoter of the competition is Quest Community Newspapers (a Division of Nationwide News ABN 98 008 438 828), Cnr Mayne Rd and Campbell St, Bowen Hills Qld 4001.

All information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions.  Entry into the competition is deemed an acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Competition Entry

The competition is open to all readers of Quest Community Newspapers.

Entry forms can be found:

•In current editions of participating Quest Community Newspapers
•Online at any of the participating Quest Community Newspaper Websites at www.questnews.com.au

Entry forms will be available each week for 6 (six) weeks in the following fourteen (14) Quest Community Newspapers

1.Redcliffe & Bayside Herald
2.Northern Times
3.Northside Chronicle
4.North-West News
5.Westside News
6.South-East Advertiser
7.Wynnum Herald
8.Southern Star
9.South-West News/Springfield News
10.Albert & Logan News (Fri) & (Wed 4 April)

Prizes

There will be two x $10,000 vouchers and four x $2,500 vouchers supplied by participating advertisers. 2 advertisers will provide 2 prizes each valued at $10,000 each and 1 advertiser will provide 4 prizes valued at $2,500 each.


Multiple Entries

Entries are limited to 5 per household for each week of the 6 week competition.
 Entrants submitting more than 5 entries per week will have additional entries removed from the draw.

Competition Timings

Competition appears in-paper and on-line from Wednesday, 21st March 2012 to Wednesday 25th April 2012 inclusive.

Entries Close – Wednesday, 2nd May 2012 at 5pm
 Competition Draw – Thursday, 3rd May at 10am
 Winners Announced – On-line and In-paper the following week

The draw will take place at Quest Community Newspapers, Cnr Mayne Rd and Campbell St, Bowen Hills  QLD  4001.

Winner Notification

Winners will be drawn in line with the competition schedule and notified by phone and/or in writing.

General Terms and Conditions

Conditions of Entry

Employees and immediate families of Quest Community Newspapers and partnering/participating businesses are not permitted to enter.

The winner from each of the competition draws will be the first eligible entries randomly drawn.

The judge’s decision is final/no correspondence will be entered into.

The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

If any winner of a prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian.

The winner will be notified by telephone and mail shortly following the random draws. If any winner is not contactable or does not claim their prize within seven days of the draw date, another finalist / winner will be drawn in the same format.

Any additional expenses incurred by the finalists or prize winner in accepting and partaking in the prize/competition will be the responsibility of the finalist / prize winners.

Quest Community Newspapers reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time and to cancel or amend the competition at any time without notice or further recourse to the entrants.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries.  The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, or merchantability of the prize. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury (including death) suffered or sustained in connection with entry into the competition or acceptance of the prizes. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability, which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws.

Prize Redemption Process

The two winners will each receive a voucher/letter corresponding to their prize amount of $10,000 and the four winners will each receive a voucher/letter corresponding to their prize amount of $2500 to show that they are a winner and explaining what they have won and how they redeem their prize. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
