Yesterday won my 7th The Living End related competition. Scott and Andy from The Living End were playing 2 gigs here with Ash Grunwald. Went the night before, then friend told me there was a comp on yesterday to win tickets to last nights show, had to say "What was your best reason for a chucking a sickie." I put "So I could fly to Adelaide the day of a The Living End gig, when just 4 days earlier I'd seem them play 7 times in a row in Perth." Got to catch up with the band last night, so very happy win! Took Miss Six and two nieces to Despicable Me 2 preview yesterday with tix won from The West Australian newpaper - they had a great time with free fairy floss, icecreams, choc milks and face painting. And have another family pass to Monsters Inc this weekend so will take another two nieces - I so enjoy sharing our prize love around.

After being so excited to win a Disney on Ice A reserve family pass last week, I have just won another one :o :D I was so desperate to win one, I never imagined winning two! I'm super excited but don't know what to make of a phone call that I received this afternoon. Caller introduced herself twice stating she was from a something & something show? I asked her to repeat it again which she did, but I was driving as was sooo excited that I still cant decipher the two names of which show se was calling from. I am 99% confident it is on behalf of a radio show, but which 2 DJ's shows and which station I have no idea. I don't even know what to make of it all as she advised she was ringing to first confirm personal details and proceeded to clarify my date of birth. I she asked if my bday was the 16/3, I replied it's the 15/3 (I usually do this when I'm protecting my privacy) she seemed ok with this assumed it was a typo I guess.
Anyway, she checked my name and that was it. Then said that I was shortlisted and she was going through entries, but she was tight lipped as to which promo ( I get a strong impression that she's just a radio pleb/lacky) and hasn't got much further info herself. Either way, I am in the short list for a radio comp to which I know nothing more about. I feel like it's Christmas Eve, and I don't know if I've been naughty or nice...will or will not Santa visit me. But I do love the anticipation. Well I have an update. just received a WPC advising I'm being flown to Sydney next week as a finalist to compete in an obstacle challenge with 3 others. The winner of the obstacle challenge wins $10,000. To give you an ide, I've been advised one of my challenges is to wade body depth through an entire pool of sweet chilli sauce then climb out and roll my body in feathers.
