We have three species of Seahorses here, the Weedy and Leafy sea dragons and Pot-bellied seahorses.

Growing no more than 45cm in length, the seahorse is perhaps best known for the fact that the male of the species generally carries the eggs in their belly until birth – a trait unique to the seahorse family.

The Great Barrier Reef runs down much of the coastline of north eastern Australia and is a World Heritage Site. It is the world’s largest structure built by living organisms and is one of the few such structures that is visible from space.

Pacific Reef

In the Pacific Reef tank you will see beautiful coral, clownfish, crayfish, anemones and clams!

Take in the profusion of colour in the Pacific Reef Zone- you may even catch a Clownfish darting around and hiding in the anemones.

Coastal Wreck

Discover over ten species of fish in our brand new zone, Coastal Wreck, and learn about the many species that inhabit the coral reefs around Australia.

Australia’s oceans are rich with marine wildlife, and here, amongst a shipwreck environment you can discover a variety of animals which are found in Australia’s coastal waters such as the Lionfish, Eels, the Common octopus and other tropical fish.

Discover the fierce -looking Moray eels – which despite their snake-like appearance are actually fish – peering out from inside their crevices. Or discover the Common octopus – with its distinctive bulbous head, huge eyes, eight tentacles and amazing camouflage abilities.

Ocean Walkthrough

Part of the new 3.5 million dollar Ocean walk through investment, Shark Shipwreck brings with it over 8 species of shark. Sharks are definitely a favourite for most people visiting UnderWater World, so one not to be missed!
