Rapid-fire jokes, biting social commentary and smart observational humour is what the newest crop of Australian comedians are delivering and that is what’s featured in Stand Up @ Bella Union. This 10 part series, SBS was filmed live over 5 hilarious nights at the iconic Bella Union, in the Trades Hall Melbourne, and features talented and diverse stand up comedians on stage but then goes behind the scenes as Chas Licciardello explores the stories behind the microphone.

The show stars Nazeem Hussein (Legally Brown), Dan Illic (Can of Worms, Hungry Beast), host of SBS 2’s Thursday FC Matt Okine, Winner of the 2012 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Ronny Chieng, comedy wonder kid Joel Creasey, Melbourne International Comedy Festival favourite Geraldine Hickey, hilarious indigenous comedian Kevin Kropinyeri, and Egyptian born 2011 Raw Comedy Finalist Khaled Khalafalla to name a few.

The winner will be selected by 2 May 2014. 4. This competition is open to Australian and New Zealand residents over the age of 18 only. Employees and immediate families of Madman Entertainment Pty Ltd or Funtastic Limited are not eligible to enter. 5. The winner will have the most original and inventive answers to the question, as determined by the Judges in their absolute discretion. 6. This is a game of skill, and chance plays no part in determining the winner. 7. The Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 8.
