Win tickets to Tocal Field Days!

The Tocal Field Days (TFD) are this year on May 2, 3 & 4 at Tocal Agricultural Centre, 815 Tocal Road, Paterson.

TFD exhibitors bring a vast array of products and services from the latest in innovative farming techniques and technology from solar energy to fencing construction through to craft and good food and wine products. It’s hard to imagine there would be an event with a bigger range of products available. The surprise theme for the renowned “Piglet Races” are sure to keep its popularity soaring. The animal nursery will be back as well as the working dogs, horses and everything in between! Special mention must be made of the Bake or Burn cooking competition and the infamous Penny Tocow, the purple cow.

If shopping is not high on your list there are plenty of talks and demonstrations from fencing to learning the latest techniques in the safe handling of cattle. There will be live country entertainment, free craft activities for the kids and cooking demonstrations for all.

Ute lovers will be heading to Tocal for the fifth annual ute muster. Held on Sunday May 4, there are categories to suit every ute enthusiast from the best feral ute to the best classic ute. For the first time there will be a ‘sound off’ for both V6 and V8 vehicles.

Tickets are available online. The free shuttle bus will make a return this year to Tocal, running from Maitland Station on the hour from 9 am, collecting in Lorn at a quarter past 9 am and returning to Maitland from the event on the half hour.

The Newcastle Herald has 10 double passes to be won! To enter, please submit your details on the entry from below. Entries close on Sunday 20 April and winners names will be published in the Newcastle Herald public notices on Wednesday 23 April. Good luck!
