Magic. MIAF14 hits the screens and podiums from the 19th day celebration of the best current, retrospective and historical animated films from around the world! This years’ festival includes the jam-packed two day RENDER Animation Conference, a four part Symposium; Blend (presented in association with Deakin University), Meet the Filmmaker presentations, workshops and masterclasses, a free Careers in Animation forum (presented by Holmesglen), and a bunch of super impressive international and local guests. Annual programming kicks off with the Opening Night Sneak Peek Screening, and includes the all important Australian Showcase, Best of the Next student festival (presented in association with Studio Moshi), Late Night Bizarre, Kids Program, Music Video and the much-loved Best of the Fest. It also wouldn’t be MIAF without our specially curated sessions! The 2014 program includes: 3 Days In Paris, South American Showcase, Chris Sullivan (USA), Quickdraw Animation Society 30th Adventures of Boxhead and Roundhead by Melbourne’s own Elliot Cowan.
