The last time someone called us low lives, we didn’t leave with a free bikini, that’s for sure. Unless “free bikini” is synonymous with “restraining order”, in which case we decline to comment and would like to plead the fifth, your honour. But the real Low Lives crew is here to bridge the gap between insults and summer essentials.

A label fresh out of Melbourne via Hawaii, the second collection ’Menace Beach’ is inspired by the chola girls who hung out at Venice Beach in the ’90s. With high-cut hips, razor backs, and gnarly slogans it’s every bit of what you want in your swimwear drawer – and luckily, Low Lives is in the spirit of giving. Answer the question, “What makes a perfect summer day?” in 25 words or less for your chance to win one of five swimsuits in the style of your choice (subject to stock availability). Don’t forget to nominate your preferred style and size. Visit low-lives.com to see the range and make your pick, and follow on Instagram @low.lives.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Competition is open to Australian residents only. Starts 9 December, 2014 and ends 15 December, 2014. This is a game of skill and entrants must answer this question in 25 words or less: “What makes a perfect Summer day?” The most creative answers will win. 5 winners will receive a swimsuit from Low Lives. Total prize pool value $750. Entries will be judged on 16 December, 2014 at nextmedia Level 6, 207 Pacific Hwy, St Leonards NSW 2065. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All email addresses collected in the entry form will be added to the Yen Newsletter database. You may unsubscribe from this free service at any time. Winners will be announced in the ‘Winners’ section of the Yen website and prizes will be sent to the postal address provided on the entry form or contacted via email about collection.
