Radio is changing, and while DAB may have signalled the improvement of broadcast radio, online music is where it’s at. You won’t find talkback here, rather a music station that you define, tweaking it with thumbs up and thumbs down to music you like and hate.

Pandora was one of the first services to sit in this arena, and while you can experience it on a mobile phone or tablet, you can also take it home, with the service working on sound systems as well.

One of these is the Sonos Play:1, and the nice people at Pandora have given us one of these to give away as well as the Sonos Bridge and a month-long subscription to the Pandora One ad-free service, making the main prize valued at just under $400.

We also have ten runner-up prizes to give away, letting people try Pandora for a month ad-free, and entering is a cinch.

Our music obsessed judges will be critiquing the answers, deciding on the best one that makes them jump, dance, and generally feel like this is something you’ll do, but you have until January 21 to enter, so start working out how you want to start the new year off musically!

1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry. To enter the Pandora Sonos Play:1 competition visit www.gadgetguy.com.au, click on the competition link, and answer the 25 words or less caption question. Eligible participants are required to provide their name, email address, answer, and post code to complete their entry. 2. You can enter this competition as many times as you like, even on the one email address. 3. Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia, but to be eligible to win the prize the email address you submit with your entry must be actively subscribed to the GadgetGuy or Press Play newsletter at the time of the prize judging. 4. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. Prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. 5. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining winners. 6. Judging for the competition will take place on January 23, 2015 (23/01/15) at Gadget Group, 120 Cathedral St, Woolloomooloo NSW 2011. 7. The promoter will not be held responsible for any late, lost or misdirected mail. 8. No employees, relatives or associates of LG Electronics Australia or Gadget Group Pty Ltd can enter the competition. 9. The winners shall be notified by email. 10. Prize value is the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and is correct at the time of printing. All prize values are in Australian dollars. 11. The promoter shall not be responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. 12. The competition commences December 16, 2014 (16/12/14) and concludes at 11.59pm (Sydney time) on January 21, 2015 (21/01/15). All entries become the property of the promoter. 13. Prize winner once notified by email of their win have three (3) months from the dispatch of our email to supply us their contact details. If there is no response from the winner, the prize will be forfeited. 14. There is one (1) major prize to be won, consisting of one (1) Sonos Play:1 speaker valued at $299, one (1) Sonos Bridge valued at $75, and one (1) one-month subscription to the Pandora One ad-free service valued at ($6.49), making the one major prize valued at $380.49. There are ten (10) runner-up prizes to be won, each consisting of a one-month subscription to the Pandora One ad-free service valued at $6.49 each.
