The undisputed queen of soul to this day remains a household name thanks to her massive catalogue of Number 1 hits, including ‘Chain of Fools’, ‘Think’ and the most iconic of all – ‘RESPECT’. Aretha Franklin’s incomparable voice and compelling delivery is instantly mesmerizing. She has influenced a great big number of artists including Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and of course, Melbourne’s own, Florelie Escano. Citing Aretha as her biggest inspiration, Florelie is a passionate vocalist with a powerful 4-octave range. She writes and arranges her own music and has released two vinyl 45 records with songs receiving praise and airplay on stations such as Triple J, PBS and Triple R, as well as internationally in UK, Spain and Italy.
