NAUGHTY and nice, exotic and erotic, wild and wacky is how Spiegelworld's production Absinthe has been described.

Absinthe is the latest circus, burlesque, vaudeville live show Spiegelworld will bring to Australia.

The production's popularity has seen it play in the forecourt of Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas since 2011.

Absinthe follows the highly popular production Empire, which showed in Newcastle's Wheeler Place in 2013, featuring an eccentric cast of characters doing an array of acrobatic tricks and performances.

Inspired by the absinthe-drenched cabarets of late 19th century Europe, Absinthe is an adult-themed cocktail of circus, burlesque and vaudeville.

The production is hosted by the outrageous Gazillionaire and his side-kick Joy.

It will be presented in a 700-seat antique spiegeltent, furnished with bevelled mirrors, plush velvet seating booths and a well stocked bar.

Audience members will get up close and personal as the artists present their jaw-dropping acts on an intimate stage.

The Australian tour of Absinthe will feature several of the acts currently part of the Las Vegas production with some additional new surprises.

Absinthe will show in Newcastle's Wheeler Place, next to Civic Theatre, between Tuesday, February 17, and Sunday, March 1. Tickets, available from Ticketek, start at $54.
