Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinemas are back with a bang this summer, bringing music by day and movies by night to Perth’s Riverside Drive. As part of a nationwide series of events, the Perth leg of the tour takes place on the lawn of Ozone Reserve, overlooking the river, from March 19 until April 26 – and the movie itinerary is impressive!

Top picks this year include the Oscar-nominated historic flick ‘Selma’, ‘The Water Diviner’ starring a studly Russell Crowe, the heavily polarising ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’, and the much talked-about talk-show satire ‘The Interview’.

Opening night, on Thursday 19 March, will feature indie band Besides Lights performing live, followed by a screening of the very funny Mortdecai (starring Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow).

On the weekend is the Sundae Session Charity Launch featuring Melbourne band Husky and a host of impressive music acts including acoustic darlings Wanderlust, folk artist Helen Shanahan, and Triple J Unearthed duo Simone & Girlfunkle. The screening on this night is award-winning ‘The Theory of Everything’.
