CIRCUS FACTORY at Powerhouse Museum - April School Holidays (http://www.childmags.com.au/childmags/8.win/1.nsw/2.2015/Circus-Factory-Powerhouse-Museum.jpg) The Powerhouse Museum has been running since December 2014 Circus Factory, a program featuring all the wonder of the circus with live performance, sideshow favourites, local and international exhibits and vintage toys and novelties. Until 3 May 2015, explorers of all ages have the opportunity to test their skill and showmanship, be awed by feats of human creativity and wonder at rarities from Australia and overseas. In partnership with the Centre National du Costume de Scène (CNCS), Moulins, France, Circus Factory presents an exhibition of 60 circus costumes and props - from Australian and international collections - that explores ringmasters, performing with animals, acrobats, clowns, dressing rooms, accessories and the grand parade. A 100-year-old carousel from Craig Robson’s Fairground Follies collection is on show, with rides offered all day. Throughout the April holiday seasons, the Circus Factory arena will come alive, featuring a limited season of performances from the acclaimed Australian contemporary circus troupe, Circa.
