Why would you go around squinting when a pair of AHLEM eyewear beauties would look mighty fine perched on your nose? The lady with all the design know-how is Parisian Ahlem Manai-Platt. Each of these babies is made by hand in France, using only the best of the best acetates, scratch-proof surfaces and UVA protection. AHLEM’s bevelled temples and rounded edges are a homage to her native city and feature some stunning colourways that will cheer you up as we head into winter (au revoir, bikini).

The kind people over at AHLEM are giving Yen readers the chance to win one of two pairs of Belleville (in Blacklight or Brownlight colourway) or St Germain (in Goldlight or Turtleshell colourway) sunglasses, valued at $529 each. To win, simply answer this question in 25 words or less: What’s your favourite French thing and why?
