Calling all artists, designers and photographers! The West End Magazine invites you to participate in our quarterly art, design and photography competition.

This quarter’s theme is to capture “Home” with a single creation or photo, as interpreted through your creative eyes. Whether it be a nostalgic architectural aspect, a cherished space for your thoughts or special moments with family, share a piece or capture a photo that tells us about your home.

The competition will be judged by The West End Magazine staff, including our publisher, editors, managers and designers. It is free to enter and is open to anyone residing in Brisbane. You may submit as an individual or as a group. All work must be original. Any number of colours and any medium is accepted (for instance, if you create a sculpture, then a photo of your creation will serve as your competition entry).

Please submit your entries by 1 August 2015 to be considered for our upcoming Spring edition.

Winning entries will be published on the first two pages of the printed magazine and digital editions.

Submit your high resolution entry (no larger than 5MB), include your details, tell us a little about yourself and include a short paragraph explaining how your creation relates to the competition theme of “Home.”


Entering the competition gives The West End Magazine permission to use any material across the magazine for editorial purposes. Artists or photographers will receive appropriate accreditation each time an image is used in other areas apart from the prize winning entry.
