LANCE Strauss, also known as Elton Jack, has been wowing audiences for more than 25 years in a career that has seen him perform his Elton John tribute show across the world to rave reviews.

The concept of Elton Jack was officially born after Strauss won Red Faces on the television show Hey Hey It's Saturday in 1987.

After months of solo performances in small clubs and pubs, it was time to expand, form a band and take it on the road.

The Elton Jack show was launched after a successful four-month season at the Blue Note Jazz Basement in Sydney early in 1989.

The show is theatrical rock entertainment, just as you would expect from Elton John.

Twenty-eight years on from when it all started, Strauss has hit the road again with a brand new show.

From Your Song to I'm Still Standing, the Elton Jack show embraces every highlight of Elton John's long and illustrious career.

Strauss will perform at Wests New Lambton on Wednesday, August 5.
