Written and adapted by the Nobel Prize winning John Steinbeck and set in the Great Depression, it’s a story that explores how we treat the most vulnerable citizens within our society –the disenfranchised, those on the fringes, those left behind and set apart. It follows two migrant workers – George and Lennie – who dream of acquiring their very own bit of land and a better future. Director Iain Sinclair has reinvigorated this timeless tale, while also helping it stay relevant and close to our own contemporary economic, political, and moral lives.
