The faces of fashion in film will light up the screen at Palace Centro, every Friday night, with Reel Fashion. Your winter collection starts here, with this season’s look book featuring inspiring documentaries about the designers and magazine editors, the classics starring style icons from the golden age of Hollywood, and iconic comedies with an eye on style. The front row includes the who’s who of influential movers and shakers from Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Tom Ford.

Reel Fashion will launch with an exclusive Q&A Gala preview screening of Women He’s Undressed on July 10 (See details below) with acclaimed director Gillian Armstrong attending. The season then continues with a line up of fashion and stars including the story of iconic Vogue editor in Diana Vreeland, the 20th anniversary of 90s fashion classic, Clueless, and Mademoiselle C. The romance of fashion and film are also featured with 1974 classic, The Great Gatsby, Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom and 80s flashback, Pretty in Pink.  Academy Award winning costumes from Orry Kelly will also feature on screen in American in Paris, Some Like It Hot and 42nd Street.


Guests are in for a treat with selected sessions to include style counsel and pampering from local fashion and beauty partners plus the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree on James St, courtesy of iconic James Street boutiques Samantha Ogilvie and Blonde Venus.

To be eligible to enter this competition a person must: a) Have attended a film playing as part of the Reel Fashion program b) Not be an employee or directly related to staff of Palace Cinemas.  Ticket stub must be attached to entry form and display purchase of admission. $1000 shopping spree is divided into $500 gift voucher for Blonde Venus, and $500 gift voucher for Samantha Ogilvie.  Entries close on October 16, 2015, and winners will be contacted via phone call or e-mail on October 26, 2015.
