On Sunday, August 30 at 4pm, JIFF will present an advanced screening of Me and Earl and the Dying Girl at Classic Cinemas.

Seventeen-year-old Greg Gaines, an awkward Pittsburgh high school student, manages to become part of every social group without having any friends, spends most of his time making low-budget parodies of classic movies with his co-worker and best friend, Earl.

Greg finds his outlook forever altered after his mother forces him to befriend Rachel, a girl he once knew in Hebrew school, who has just been diagnosed with leukaemia. Together with Earl, Greg decides to make a film for her.

Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and written by Jesse Andrews, based on Andrews’ novel of the same name, the film stars Thomas Mann, Olivia Cooke, Ronald Cyler II, Jon Bernthal, and Nick Offerman.

Join JIFF for this great film and take a sneak peak at what’s to to come at the 2015 Jewish International Film Festival.  #JIFF2015 will be the biggest yet with 60 Australian Premieres!

The Australian Jewish News has two double passes to give away to the advanced screening at 4pm, August 30 at Classic Cinemas, Elsternwick.
