Terms and Conditions of entry: The Chronicle – Win for Wearing Your Bucket Hat

1. Method of entry:  Contestants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.  To be eligible you must:

Attend the Carnival of Flowers Grand Central Floral Parade on Saturday September 19, 2015.
Wear the “The Chronicle” red bucket hat at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Grand Central Floral Parade.
The Chronicle photographer will be taking photos of people wearing the Red Bucket Hat.
The Chronicle will run photographs of people wearing a Bucket Hat at the Parade in The Chronicle on Monday September 21, 2015.
The Contestants photos that are circled will be the winning entries.
2. Prizes:

1 of 3 holiday packages to be won. The holidays include:

Three (3) nights in a Superior Resort Room (2 adults, 2 children 0 – 12 years of age);
One (1) Zone 4 Kids Club session per child per day;
Unlimited use of the Zone 4 Kids Waterpark;
A range of daily activities  (at resort’s discretion);
Continental buffet breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children (0 – 12 years) provided daily in the Bistro;
3. Prize conditions:

Each holiday package is valid for travel until June 30, 2016.
Excludes travel in high and peak seasons
Bookings are subject to availability and vouchers may not be accepted for all dates.
The prize is for 2 adults and 2 children (0 – 12 years of age);
One (1) Planet Chill pass will be issued to each person aged 3 years and over only. Children aged 0 – 2years are not permitted on the ice.
Any unused portion of the prize will be forfeited.
Vouchers will not be extended past the expiry date.
All other room expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
Terms and Conditions of use for all included passes, activities etc. are listed on the provided vouchers.
The prize does not include all other meals (other than specified), travel, travel insurance, spending money, and medical and additional room charges.
All other expenses and incidental costs outside what is specified are the responsibility of the winner.
Winners may be required to provide a credit card bond for the accommodation.
Total maximum retail value of the prizes for this competition is z$2,804.10 (incl. of GST).
The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values.  Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner.  Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.  If the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.

4. Competition duration: The competition commences Saturday September 19, 2015 and closes at 5:00pm Saturday September 19, 2015. Entries received after the closing time/date will be deemed as invalid and will not be entered into the competition.

5. Eligibility limitations:  Contestants under the age of 18 require parent/guardian permission to enter.  The following persons are ineligible to enter:
i.    Employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter;
ii.   The spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same house);

iii.    Contestants who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to iv.    All Contestants acknowledge that even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.

6. Draw and notification: The winners’ faces will be circled and appear in The Chronicle on Monday 21 September, 2015. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his / her name, character and likeness.  All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the Contestant.

7. Prize collection:  Prizes must be claimed in person at The Chronicle office, 109 Neil Street, Toowoomba and Government issued photo ID is required. Any winner must complete a Release Form to confirm collection of their prize.   All prizes when specified must be claimed 90 days after notification has been sent to the winner.  It is the sole responsibility of the winner to claim their prize.  All prizes that remain unclaimed after this time will be redrawn by random draw in an unclaimed prize draw.

8. Promoter's limitation of liability:  The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner.  The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost or stolen after they have been released for delivery via postage or courier.  The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability/merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes.  To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained to any person including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners.

9. Entries and privacy:  All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter and its related parties, subject to the limits contained in the Privacy Statement and as set out in these terms and conditions. The Promoter and its related parties, also collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may use and disclose such information in accordance with its privacy policy www.apnarm.com.au/privacy, including to sending ongoing information and promotional material about opportunities, services and products (relating to our business or a third party business) in which the Promoter believes you may be interested. To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion.
