Brisbane will turn on the glamour of the roaring ’20s on Valentine’s Eve 2016 at the inaugural Variety Valentine’s Ball, a Gatsby-themed event raising funds on behalf of Variety — the Children’s Charity of Queensland. Held at the iconic Tattersall’s Club, guests will be treated to true 1920s style with vintage cars, a four-piece swing band, professional dancers, roving photographers, a ladies touch-up stand, a ‘magical’ guest, and prizes for the best dressed. The menu for the night includes canapés on arrival, cocktail-style main meals, a dessert buffet, and a four-hour beer and wine package. Celebrity MCs Mike Goldman and Liz Cantor will team up to run the proceedings, including an ‘Unforgettable Experiences’ auction with celebrity auctioneer Andrew Morello. Auction items up for grabs include a three-night luxury stay at Hayman Island, diamonds from Xennox, a V8 Supercar experience, and more unmissable experiences.
