What will you discover?

Open to all young adventurers.

1 December to  31 January

 Collect an entry form at any Glen Eira library or download a copy here.

Get searching at the libraries and discover a world of stories that can take you to faraway places and a world of adventure.

 
To enter:

    Visit your local Glen Eira library and borrow 10 books to read over the summer holidays.
    When you have read your 10 books or e-books complete the registration form for the Summer Reading Club at the Lost Worlds’ pod. There is one at each Glen Eira library. Or download an entry form here from 1 December.
    When you have completed your registration form collect your Lost Worlds pack which may include: wristband, mood changing eraser, invisible ink pen, magic bubbles, stickers and keyring.
    Place your completed form in the entry box. You can enter as many times as you like to go into the draw for the chance to win the major prize of your own iPad Air 2. There are two runners up prizes: WiiU Super Mario Maker premium pack and LeapPad Platinum.

For a chance to win more prizes and join in fun online activities, visit Summer Reading Club. You can download an activity booklet for your age level, find book raves, writing competitions, games, recommended reading lists and links to other websites. You can join writing activities, add a comment to Have Your Say and send your artwork to the gallery. Parents can help younger children navigate the website and online activities.

Online competitions close 31 January 2016.

 

Summer Reading Club encourages children and young people to discover great authors and illustrators of picture books, junior and young adult fiction and non-fiction. The literary and creative activities developed for the online activity site, and the programming delivered in local public libraries aim to encourage a love of reading and ongoing multi-literacy skills development among children, young people and their families during the summer holidays.
