Quarterly Draws of $1500 to be Won!
If you are an individual member of Fire Brigades Employees Credit Union you may be eligible to become part of our fabulous quarterly cash draw which is exclusive to Fire Brigades Employees Credit Union members only.
Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Duration
The promotion commences at 9am AEST on 1 October 2015 and closes at 5PM AEST on 30 September 2016.
2. Eligibility
All individual members of Fire Brigades Employees Credit Union Limited (FBECU) who are residents of New South Wales as at the close of business (5pm AEST) on the following dates are automatically included in the prize draw for that corresponding period as per clause 5 Prize Draw:
31 December 2015
31 March 2016
30 June 2016
30 September 2016
Each eligible personal membership held by an individual will be included in the draw.
3. Additional entry – New Loans
In addition to the eligibility criteria under clause 2, eligible members of FBECU who have had a loan (EXCLUDING overdrafts) approved and funded by FBECU within the following periods will receive one additional entry per loan into the prize draw for that corresponding period. The periods are:
Loan approved and funded: 1 October 2015 9am AEST – 31 December 2015 5pm AEST
Loan approved and funded: 1 January 2016 9am AEST – 31 March 2016 5pm AEST
Loan approved and funded: 1 April 2016 9am AEST – 30 June 2016 5pm AEST
Loan approved and funded: 1 July 2016 9am AEST – 30 September 2016 5pm AEST
4. Ineligible Entrants
The following are ineligible to enter into this competition:
Non-personal memberships such as social clubs, self managed superannuation funds
Dormant accounts as defined under the Banking Act 1959
Directors of FBECU and their immediate families (including spouse, partner, child, step child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, brother or sister)
Employees of FBECU and their immediate families (including spouse, partner, child, step child, grandchild, parent, grandparent, brother or sister)
Members residing outside of New South Wales
Deceased memberships
5. Draw Details
There will be four quarterly draws with one prize winner each quarter as follows:

The additional entry for approved and funded loans is not a separate draw.
The prize will be drawn by a FBECU representative at Level 9, 1 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst NSW 2010.
6. Prize Details
There is one prize of $1500 per draw. The prize will be paid by deposit into the S1 account of the winning membership held at FBECU.
7. Winner Notification
The prize draw winner will be notified by phone on the day of the draw and sent advice by mail to the address held for the membership on FBECU’s system.
The winner’s name will also be published on our website and in The Siren newsletter issued after the prize draw.
8. Winner’s consent for promotion
By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the promoter using their name and photograph on website and The Siren newsletter to promote this prize draw and FBECUs products and services.
9. Unclaimed Prizes
Any unclaimed prizes will be redrawn at the date and time detailed in the table under clause 5 draw details. The redraw will take place at Level 9, 1 Oxford Street Darlinghurst NSW 2010. The winner will be advised by telephone and mail on the day of the redraw and also published on our website and subsequent issue of The Siren newsletter.
10. The Promoter
The promoter is Fire Brigades Employees Credit Union Limited, ABN 41 087 650 066 AFSL / Australian Credit Licence No 238283, Level 9, 1 Oxford Street Darlinghurst NSW 2010.
11. Indemnity and Disclaimer
You agree to release and indemnify FBECU and its agents and employees from and against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of the acceptance of any prize or participation in the competition whether direct, consequential or foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
FBECU is not responsible or liable if:
For any reason beyond FBECU’s control any element of any prize is not provided. We may at our absolute discretion substitute a different prize in place of the prize referred to.
For any reason the competition is suspended or varied or terminated at any time with or without prior warning or publicity
Entries are lost, late or misdirected
Any changes to the promotion or terms and conditions (including cancellation or suspension) are subject to the approval of the relevant State Department / Authority.
FBECU has the right to exclude any person from this competition for any reason whatsoever and to amend these terms and conditions at any time or cancel this competition subject to state regulations
