To celebrate Purple Day 2016, Epilepsy Action Australia is hosting a photo competition! Proudly sponsored by Digital Camera Warehouse, who have kindly donated THREE gift vouchers to be awarded to the 3 photos that receive the most votes over the duration of the competition.

Competition opens on Wednesday 2nd of March, and closes on Sunday the 10th of April, at 5:00pm (AEST).

1st Place: $1,500 Digital Camera Warehouse Voucher
2nd Place: $1,000 Digital Camera Warehouse Voucher
3rd Place: $500 Digital Camera Warehouse Voucher

*vouchers are valid for 12months

You understand that you are providing your information to Wishpond Technologies and Company and not to Facebook. By participating in this promotion you agree to a complete release of Facebook from any claims.

    This competition is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Children can submit a photo with the permission and consent of a parent or guardian.

    All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The winners will be based on the most votes at 5:00pm on 10/04/2016. This is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

    Entrants should include their own name, email and telephone number (only your name and photo will display on the website). We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.

    All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.

    All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.

    If photographs contain images of children they must only contain images of the entrants own children/family members or children of friends with the parent’s consent.


    Epilepsy Action Australia reserves the right to remove and disqualify any photos containing content that is inappropriate or that may cause offence (nudity, profanity, illegal activity, depictions of violence etc). Similarly, photographs that feature any corporate advertising material or messages will be disqualified from entry

    Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, each entrant grants licence to Epilepsy Action Australia to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.

    Entrants may enter as many times as they like. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted.

    The prizes as described are available on the date of publication. All prizes are non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.

Your photo has to be shared on Facebook and you have to ask friends and family to vote for your picture.
"The photo with the most votes wins".

I'm not a fan of the 'voting' type of competitions.
