They have a paradise for a garden, but as the story goes, there is also a serpent lurking in that Garden of Eden – with the biggest temptation of all: money. Then Albee lets the happy comedy turn to a savage indictment of a hypocritical society that pretends virtue but practices all the vices that will make them rich and richer.
