WIN 1 OF 5 COPIES OF CIRCLE – JUNE RELEASE BY WALKER BOOKS

Circle - the latest and much anticipated book by award-winning children’s author and artist Jeannie Baker - follows the migration of the Bar-tailed Godwit (Limosa lapponica baueri).

The Bar-tailed Godwit’s 11,000-kilometre journey from their breeding grounds in Alaska across the Pacific Ocean to Australia or New Zealand is the longest unbroken migration of any animal. As part of her research for this book, the Australian-based author made her own journeys across the globe to observe the Godwits.

As with each of Jeannie’s picture books, Circle is illustrated with the tactile, exquisitely detailed and textured collages she is famous for. Her artworks will be exhibited in an exhibition, launching at Sydney’s Maritime Museum in late May 2016 and travelling on to venues around Australia for two years.
