In 1952 the arrival of Primo Grilli in Australia began the Primo Estate story and today this family owned and operated winery cherishes their Italian heritage through the production of premium wines and olive oils. Primo's son Joe is the winemaker and he combines rustic qualities from old world processes with the high tech of today to create some wonderful wines and oils. Another indication of inherent Italian style is the ultra modern cellar door, opened in 2006. Just like the wines, it's all about blending the best from the family's heritage with local materials and just a dab or two of passion to achieve an outstanding result. A long time fan of Italian Prosecco, Joe Grilli pays tribute to the fresh, crisp, savoury sparkling whites produced in his in-laws' home region of Veneto in Northern Italy with NV Primo Secco. If you love a sparkling wine, then reading the tasting notes is sure to make your mouth water in anticipation! They say Primo Secco has 'delicate stone fruit aromas with a hint of lemon blossom whilst the fine, refreshing fruit flavours marry well with delicate bubbles and crisp acidity.
