The first correct entry received will win a $50 Caltex Star cash voucher. The lines will then be closed. Winners will be notified by phone and the gift voucher will be available for collection from 50 Hasler Road, Osborne Park or it can be posted at your request. There will be one fake ad appearing every week being Monday to Saturday in any publication between July 11, 2016 and October 15, 2016. “FIND THE FAKE AD” COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS By entering the “Find The Fake Ad” competition (“the Competition”), you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: 1. Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the promotional advertisements and point of sale materials form part of these terms and conditions. By participating in this competition entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 2. The Promoters is The West Australian (ABN 98 008 667 632) 50 Hasler Rd Osborne Park 6017. 1. WHO CAN ENTER? 1.1 Subject to clause 1.2, entry is open to all residents of Western Australia aged 18 years or older. 1.2 Employees and their immediate families of The West Australian and its associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family includes any of the following: spouse, exspouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, stepsister or 1st cousin or sibling living under the same roof. 2. HOW TO ENTER 2.1 The Competition commences on 12.05am Monday, 11 July 2016 (Perth time) and concludes on 5pm Saturday, 15 October 2016(Perth time) (“the Promotional Period”). 2.2 During the Promotional period there will be 14 weekly competition periods running from Monday to Saturday through the promotional period. 2.3 An obviously fake lineage advertisement will be published in The West Australian classifieds section once each weekly competition period. Readers will need to read through each edition of The West Australian or The Weekend West to find it. 2.3 To enter the competition, readers must ring 6444 4347 and leave a voicemail with their name, a contact phone number and the wording of the fake ad including the publication date it appeared in The West Australian or The Weekend West. All of the above information is required to be a valid entry. 2.4 Entrants in the Competition may only enter once per week. 2.5 The first valid entry each week will be deemed the weekly winner. 4. PRIZES 4.1 There will be one (1) winner each week of the promotional period 4.2 The prize is 1 x $50 Caltex Starcash voucher 4.3 Standard Starcash terms and conditions apply 4.4 No compensation will be given for any unused portion of the prize 4.5 As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or sponsors and/or prize providers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form. 4.6 The prize cannot be transferred nor redeemed for cash. 4.7 If the prize (or part there of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize of equal value and/or specification 4.8 The prize must be collected by the winner (ID will be checked) from 50 Hasler Road, Osborne Park or it can be posted via unregistered mail at the winner’s request. No replacement prize will be provided in the case of lost, stolen or misdirected mail. 2 WINNERS 5.2 The winner will be notified by telephone on the Monday following the weekly competition period. In the instance that the winner cannot be contacted on the phone number provided by noon Monday 24 October, the prize will be forfeited and the second correct entry for that week will be deemed the winner. 5.3 The Promoters’ decision is final and the Promoters will not enter into correspondence regarding the result. The Promoters may in their absolute discretion deem entries invalid subsequently to the winner being notified or the winner’s name being announced if it is discovered that the winner did not enter the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions. In these circumstances, an additional draw will be conducted. 5.4 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier’s requirements. 5.5 It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner (and any companions) may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoters in their absolute discretion. 5.6 Winners will be required to collect their prize from The West Australian at 50 Hasler Rd Osborne Park. 6. GENERAL 6.1 The Promoter’s decision on all matters related to this competition is final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserve the right to limit entries or amend rules if considered necessary without notice. 6.2 The Promoter is not responsible for any data or other information related to this promotion that may be lost, damaged as a result of any computer software or hardware malfunction. Any issues occurring as a result of computer problems will be rectified as quickly as possible. 6.3 The Promoter may, subject to State Regulation, terminate this competition at any time at its absolute discretion without liability to any contestant or other person. 6.4 The West Australian and affiliates and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail. 6.5 The West Australian and affiliates and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur: a) in relation to entering the competition or during the draw; b) in the participation or use of any element(s) of the prize; c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail; d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person; e) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion. 6.6 The West Australian and affiliates and their associated agencies and companies assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available, subject to state government legislation. 6.7 If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoters which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoters reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. 3 7 PRIVACY 7.1 You consent to the use by West Australian Newspapers Limited and related corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001) of Your details and acknowledge that West Australian Newspapers and related corporations, may, at their discretion disclose and use those details for the purpose of providing goods or services, communicating with subscribers, planning, research, product and business development and sales, the promotion and marketing (whether targeted, direct or indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which it believes may be of benefit to them.
