To celebrate our Local Premiere Screening of The Secret Life of Pets, Dendy Portside and Brisbane Writers Festival are giving young writers the chance to win tickets to learn from the best at Word Play, as well as tickets to the movie!

 Simply tell us a story, using between 200 and 500 words, telling us what your pets get up to when you aren’t at home.
 
Email your story to win@uplit.com.au and you might see your writing published on the Brisbane Writers Festival blog this September.

Word Play Prize Pack
1 x family pass (4 tickets) to Word Play on Wednesday 7 September.
 
9.45am - 10.30am: Little Characters with Big Hearts with Katherine Battersby
11am - 11.45am: Grug with Ted Prior
 
As well as a family pass to the event.
 
Runner up prizes
4 x Family passes to the local premiere screening of The Secret Life of Pets on Sunday August 28th with activities from 10am and film screening at 11am.
 
 
TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms and Conditions
1.       The promoters are Dendy Cinemas ABN 95005033605, 39 Hercules St, Hamilton, Qld 4007 Australia and UPLIT Incorporated Association ABN 22722077982, 12 Merivale Street.
2.       Information on how to enter this competition form part of these terms and conditions.
3.       Entry is open only to Australian residents. Employees of the Promoters and their immediate families and the agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
4.       Entry to open to Queensland residents only. Transportation, accommodation are not provided as part of the prize.
5.       The competition commences Wednesday 17th August 2016 9.00am and closes Sunday August 21st 2016 11.59pm.
6.       Entries must be submitted to win@uplit.com.au.
7.       The competition winners will be announced August 23rd 2016.
8.       The prize consists of a Word Play Prize Pack (4 tickets to 2 Word Play sessions) and Family Passes (4 tickets) valued at $40 each to attend the local premiere screening of The Secret Life of Pets on Sunday August 28th from 10am. If the winner cannot attend this event, alternate arrangements can be made with the cinema. Word Play Prize Packs are unable to be transferred or rescheduled.

10.   All entries will be judged by panel on creativity, style, grammar and structure.
11.   Prize winners will be notified via email.
12.   The Promoter assumes no responsibility for an error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of the competition.
13.   Dendy Cinemas will not allow any third party access information of any participant.
