Melbourne Cup at The Crown On Palmer
The following terms and conditions apply to the Melbourne Cup Cocktail Party competition. These terms and
conditions apply in conjunction with Grant Broadcasters General Contest Rules. Where there is any inconsistency,
these terms and conditions will prevail.
1. DURATION
The promotion will begin Monday, 10th October – Tuesday 1st, November 2016
2. METHOD OF ENTRY
Participants can register online at http://townsville.radiozinc.com.au/ or call into the studio during contest hours for
their chance to win.
3. PRIZES
The prize will be a double pass to Melbourne Cup Cocktail Party, Tuesday November 1st between 12:00pm –
4:00pm. The winner is determined by random draw from online entrants, with first callers through winning tickets on
air.
The prize will include 2 x basic beverage on arrival, with discounted beverages offered to all ticket holders for the
duration of the event (4 hours 12:00pm – 4:00pm). Food will provided for tickets holders as ‘finger food throughout the
event. Ticket holders can arrive earlier than ticketed time and remain later than ticketed time.
One minor prize winner will also receive a $1000 bet. This $1000 bet will be placed by a Grant Broadcasters
representative and the winner will be presented with the betting slip. The winner is however able to choose their
winning bet. The winner is entitled to all monies won on the bet placed. Grant Broadcasters is not liable for
responsibly if the bet placed is a losing bet.
4. INDEMNITY
All contestants release from, and indemnify GRANT BROADCASTERS against all liability, cost, loss or expense
arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income,
personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act
or omission or otherwise.
Grant Broadcasters reserves the right to alter or drop contest hours from the competition in any or all markets due to
changed programming conditions in the event of a natural disaster or for any other unforeseeable reason.
5. NOTIFICATION
Winners will be notified immediately on-air if they have won either the major or minor prize. Prize winners will be
notified via phone if they win a prize online.
6. ENTRY CONDITIONS.
Entrants must be aged 18 years and over and are not allowed to play for someone else (e.g their child). Employees of
Grant Broadcasters, and the immediate families of, are ineligible to enter. Employees and their immediate families of
all associated sponsors and participating companies are also ineligible to enter. Winners of either the major or a minor
prize must show photographic identification upon collection of the prize to prove that their birth date matches that
which was drawn out of the barrel. If, after winners announcement a breach of eligibility is discovered, the prize will
not be awarded. Eligibility will be determined at Grant Broadcasters discretions, and the decision is final. No
correspondence will be entered in to.
