For the first time in Melbourne, collectors and enthusiasts will be treated to The Melbourne Fair – an unprecedented selling exhibition, taking place at the Caulfield Racecourse, comprising of antique, 20th Century and vintage pieces over four days (November 24 to 27). The Melbourne Fair will host more than 40 Australian and international exhibitors who will have on hand highly sought after furniture, lighting, art and decorative objects from every era plus jewellery, vintage fashion and luxury vintage designer goods from the most influential design periods of the 20th Century.

Unlike any other event in Australia, The Melbourne Fair maintains its uniqueness as the only fair in Australia offering everything from a 18th century sideboard to a unique Art Deco cocktail bar and antique and vintage pieces across fashion, jewellery and luxury goods.

From a rare Fantoni figure or an Opal brooch given by Douglas Mawson, the Antarctic Explorer, to his wife to a Vintage Chanel 2.25 bag, the Melbourne Fair has something for every taste and budget.

On show at the fair will also be a special vintage couture exhibition unveiling the story of “The Little Black Dress”, starting from its conception with Chanel in the 1920s to the modern day. Fair goers can also expect a look into one of Marilyn Monroe’s favourite designers – Ceil Chapman as well as a string of global luxury fashion labels from, Balenciaga, Dior and Gaultier.

On hand at the fair will be experts available to provide their extensive product and historical knowledge on rare and collectable items, many of which can’t be found anywhere else in the world.

Whether you’re after couture dresses from Dior or a Chanel purse or decorative objects from the Georgian era, the Melbourne Fair boasts a range of quality antique objects and pieces for art lovers and fashion goers alike.

The Melbourne Fair runs from Thursday, November 24 until Sunday, November 27 at Caulfield Racecourse, Gate 22, Street, Caulfield East. The winners will be drawn randomly and contacted by email only, using the email registered by the winner.
