Win a portable solar power pack! July 10, 2017 Horizon Power supports renewable energy and is undertaking trials which will, in time, allow more of our customers to install rooftop solar PV systems. We have produced a new online video, called The Solar Story, explaining the way our isolated power systems, or microgrids, need to be carefully managed to ensure an increase in renewable energy does not impact the reliability of power supplies to all of our customers. The video explains the intermittent nature of solar and other renewable energies, for example, when clouds cover the sun and the renewable energy being produced then suddenly drops away, it can cause our power stations to trip if not carefully managed. Watch the video and answer the question below and you will be in the running to win a 270 watt complete portable solar kit with batteries valued at $1,749. Entries close on 23 September, 2017.
