Israeli singer and social activist Achinoam Nini (Noa) is in Australia for the first time.

She sings in six languages and has performed in prestigious venues around the world, including the White House and Carnegie Hall. Noa represented Israel at Eurovision in 2009 (with Palestinian-Israeli Mira Awad) and is a passionate advocate for promoting peace and dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.

She was on stage performing at the peace rally in Tel Aviv in 1995 just moments before Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination and, most recently, sung Hatikva at the “50 Years Out” rally calling for an end to the occupation on the 50th anniversary of the Six-Day War.

Noa will be performing and speaking about her social activism at ‘A Conversation and Concert with Noa’ by the New Israel Fund in Melbourne on Saturday, 18 November at 7.30pm at the David Williamson Theatre , and in Sydney on Tuesday, 21 November, at 7.30pm at Bondi Pavilion.
