The time is 1960, the place the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, and the event was a show that lasted four weeks. Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack turned Las Vegas on its head in a wave of glitz, glamour and style. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jnr, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford were to throw a party that would last for 10 years and was like nothing the world had ever seen. By day Frank Sinatra and his gang of superstars would film scenes for the upcoming movie Ocean’s 11 and by night they would all take to the stage to sing, crack jokes and have a riot, all in front of the eyes of a never ending full house. The show continues at the Redland Performing Arts Centre with shows at 11am and 2pm on June 23 with Greg Aspeling and Kings of Swing. He is joined by Rhydian Lewis and Sebastiaan Scholtens. Together the trio will take to the stage as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr and Dean Martin to transport the audience back in time to the golden age of Ol’ Blue Eyes and his famous Rat Pack. The Rat Pack is an entertaining and wise cracking stage show packed with history, Australian connections and all the time-honoured songs from these classic and unforgettable performers.
