The story of Tuckshop Knits began when creator Sharidan Bowman was but a wee one. Growing up with a mum making super-loud jumpers to sell on the streets of Washington DC, young Shardian found herself smitten by the magic of ’80s knitwear. After years of perfecting her techniques and designs, Sharidan has now launched her own label, carrying on the family tradition of stitching awesome woollies – hurrah! The first Tuckshop collection, Block Head, includes a slew of scarves and colour-blocked beanies (available in both littlie and big person sizes), all made from 100 per cent Australian wool sourced from regional Victoria and made on Sharidan’s vintage Singer knitting machine (aka Betsy the Singer) in her Melbourne studio.
