American pianist Kenny Broberg is set to return to Australia for two special recitals, presented by the Sydney International Piano Competition (The Sydney), in Melbourne on 21st August  and Sydney on  8th September.

Broberg is an extraordinary young artist who, at the age of 25, already has an impressive number of awards under his belt. Broberg’s performances in Melbourne and Sydney feature a program including Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in A-flat Major, Beethoven’s Sonata No.31 in A-flat Major Op.110, Chopin’s Fantaisie in F minor Op.49, Franck’s Prélude, Fugue et Variation Op.18 (arranged for piano by Bauer), and Medtner’s Sonata in E minor Op.25 Night Wind.

Broberg commenced his piano studies at the age of six. Nine years later, he continued his studies at the Moores School of Music (University of Houston), where he completed his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance under Professor Nancy Weems. He is currently studying for a Master in Piano Performance at the International Center for Music, Park University under Professor Stanislav Ioudenitch.

His most recent concerto performances have been with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Houston Ballet Orchestra and the Seattle Symphony.
