Shop Local this Christmas for your chance to WIN After a really tough year for our businesses, it has never been more important for us to shop locally this Christmas. (https://www.wangaratta.vic.gov.au/portals/0/Wangaratta/Images/Temp/RCOW-011-Shop-Local-Xmas-RCOW-840x630%20(002).jpg?ver=2020-12-01-165455-517) In the lead up to the festive season, the Rural City of Wangaratta are launching a campaign to encourage local shopping this Christmas! The campaign involves a competition where shoppers can purchase items from businesses who register their interest and go into the draw to win prizes – and the grand prize is valued up to $500! It is free for businesses to participate. Customers recieve raffle ticket entries every transaction of $25 or more. One entry per transaction only. For a chance to win, drop your entries into the entry boxes located at: • Wangaratta Government Centre Foyer • Wangaratta Co Store (outside Target) • Vintage Hall Café Glenrowan • Milawa Post Office • The Oven at Cheshunt • Eldorado General Store For participating businesses, all you need to do is - Display a provided poster on your shop window to show you are participating in the campaign - Give your shopper one entry ticket per transaction only (minimum spend requirement is $25). The shopper then takes the ticket away to fill in their details and pops their entry into one of the entry boxes located around the municipality. Shop Local Wangaratta this Christmas - Competition Terms and Conditions: For prize to be redeemed, we may request original receipt from store for proof of purchase and transaction. You must be over the age of 18 years of age at the time of lodging your Entry Ticket and a legal resident of Australia. An eligible entrant may enter the competition by submitting their entry ticket provided by the participating store with completed details on the ticket. By entering the competition and providing your details you are subscribing to the Rural City of Wangaratta’s Economic Development Database (as stated on the promotional flyers) and e-newsletter. You have the opportunity to opt-out at any time. The individual must be subscribed to the database at the point of winning. One entry ticket will be provided per individual transaction with a minimum spend of $25 in one store. There is no maximum number of entries, providing each ticket is per transaction and meets the minimum spend requirements. The Rural City of Wangaratta reserves the right to disqualify any Entry Ticket which we believe has been given without meeting the entry requirements. We have the sole and absolute discretion to disqualify and terminate an Entrant from any further and future competitions for breach of any of the Competition Rules and/or Competition Terms at any time. Albury/NSW entrants – Due to the NSW Fair Trading Act and their requirement for a permit for prizes under $3000, no physical permit is required to run this competition. The competition is open from 1 December 2020 to 5pm on 21 December 2020. The winners will be drawn on 8 December, 15 December and 22 December 2020 and notified via both phone and in writing. The winner’s name will be published on this page on 9 December, 16 December and 23 December 2020 and will be visible for 28 days following these dates. 3rd Prize Drawn 08/12/2020 Neil Jarrott If prize is not redeemed within 5 days of notification, prize will be redrawn.
