Showcase the very best of your photography captured on a Sony Alpha camera and lens for a chance to share in $54,000 (AUD) worth of Sony digital imaging gear. Photographers from Australia and New Zealand are invited to submit their work across eleven categories: Astrophotography City Street Compact Camera Creative Editorial Landscape Nature Portrait Seascape Sports Wedding https://scene.sonyanz.com/competitions/alpha-awards The competition commences at 12:00 PM AEDT on Thursday, 7 April 2022 and closes for submissions at 11:59PM AEST on Friday, 20 May 2022. All finalists will be notified by Wednesday, 22 June 2022. There is over $50,000 worth of Sony camera gear to win! Grand Prize | Total Prize Value: $10,000 Sony digital imaging gear to the value of $10,000 Category Prize | Total Prize Value: $44,000 Sony digital imaging gear to the value of $4,000 for each category winner Categories Judging for all categories will be based on aesthetic considerations, including but not limited to the photographer's choice of subject, photographic technique and post-capture treatment. Where possible, images should be entered in the most specific category (i.e. a photo that could go into Landscape or Seascape should be entered into Seascape). Beyond this, category-specific criteria are listed below. Youth: The theme for the 2022 Youth competition is Start. The Youth Competition is run via Instagram; submissions are not accepted through Sony Scene. |
